All breeding animals in our selection herds are registered in the official pig herdbook administered by the Spanish Pig Breeders Association (ANPS) and the Catalan Pig Breeders Association (ACPS). 

All Selección Batallé® nucleus herds guarantee high sanitary levels. Only in this situation can the animals’ full genetic potential be realised.

All our breeding farms have adopted the Code-EFABAR, Code of Good Practice for Farm Animal Breeding and Reproduction Organizations.

We implement a rigorous programme of selection which includes control on production, reproductive and carcass and meat quality traits. This program involves technical and scientific staff of Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology (IRTA). The ultimate goal is to obtain breeding values as accurately as possible and maximize the selection response.
