Since its founding in 1920 our company has grown in volume but above all in product quality. Guided by our motto: Quality by Principle, we now have a far-ranging business structure that guarantees total traceability of our entire product range.

Selecció Batallé® begins with the rigorous selection of male and female breeders. through our ‘TP-Híbrids’ hybridisation programme. This enhances the reliability and quality of our stock and ensures top-class animals, which are then fed with customised, uniform pig feed supplied by our associated company, Esporc®. Our commitment to improving pig genetics is aimed at developing two main aspects of our business.

First, marketing of our breeding pigs;

Second, supplying pigs to our associated slaughterhouse, Norfrisa®, undergoing not only official veterinary monitoring but also our own in-house product controls, with state-of-the-art technology.

Next, pork cutting is handled at Càrnica Batallé®, with separate facilities for preparing our White Pig and Duroc Pig products.

The best Batallé® Duroc hams and pork shoulders are selected for transport in our refrigerated van fleet to Reserva Batallé® drying facilities in Granada, where the curing process begins.

On its way from the early days as a small producer to the present, the Batallé Group has become a reference in the sector for Traceability and Quality, and our products and production processes can boast valuable accreditations awarded by prestigious certification bodies.
